The food truck craze is quickly sweeping the nation, and we have already seen our fair share of food trucks in the Triangle area, as well as in North Carolina as a whole. The Town of Cary has announced the first food truck rodeo of the year, playfully named the Chatham Street Chowdown, that will take place Sunday, April 19th.
The food truck rally will be located on West Chatham Street between North Harrison Avenue and Academy Street in downtown Cary, a spot in the town that is gaining popularity with recent renovations. The event will begin at 12:00 p.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m., rain or shine. It is sponsored by Cary Magazine.
This year, 15 food vendors will be present, along with a beer and wine garden provided by Cary’s own Fortnight Brewery and Chatham Hill Winery, seating, and live performances.
A complete list of vendors can be found in this article by Cary Citizen.
There is more good news as well – if you can’t plan to enjoy the rally this Sunday, there are two more planned for 2015, one July 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and one October 4 from noon to 4:30 p.m.
We hope to see you there!
