The town of Holly Springs prides itself on being a close-knit community, and the residents of the town as well as the surrounding Triangle area can agree. Holly Springs has set in place a Family Fun night at Bass Lake Park on the first Friday of every month.
Spectators can go fishing at the lake, play with animals, make arts and craft creations, enjoy a magic show by Dan the Magic Man, or listen to singer and storyteller Trish Miller for children’s concerts on the deck that overlooks the lake.
Families are encouraged to bring their own lawn seating and picnic dinners and enjoy the weather. However, if there is a call for rain, the events will be moved into the conference room at Bass Lake Park.
Bass Lake Park is located at 900 Bass Lake Road. For more information, parents and families may visit the town’s website here, or call the park phone number, (919) 557-2496.
However, the fun does not stop at the end of the first Friday. On the second Friday of every month between March and October between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m., Family Bingo is held at Bass Lake Park. Each night there are 13 games played. One card to play costs $1, and fees go toward the prize at the end of the night. Participants that are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to this event.
