Despite the fact that the first Chatham Street Chowdown in April was met with an afternoon full of rain, hundreds of patrons showed up to enjoy the festivities and sample food from local food trucks, the Chatham Hill Winery, and Fortnight Brewery. This Sunday, the festival is back with an almost entirely new lineup.
The rally will be located on West Chatham Street between North Harrison Avenue and Academy Street in downtown Cary. It’s no surprise that this is the choice for the festival – Downtown Cary has gained popularity in the past year with renovations and new shops and restaurants. This round, the event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and conclude at 9:30 p.m., rain or shine. It is sponsored by Cary Magazine.
While there were only 15 vendors for the April event, there will be 24 food truck vendors lined up, as well as an appearance from BruePrint Brewing Company along with Chatham Hill Winery and Fortnight Brewery.
A complete list of vendors can be found in this article by CaryCitizen.
There will be outdoor seating and live performances by Scarlet and Peak City Sound. If you can’t make it this round, there is still one more date left in the year: The final chowdown of 2015 will be held on October 4, 2015 from noon – 4:30 p.m..
We hope to see you there!
