Raleigh is the top place to live “for men who want to be fit and happy,” according to a new report by Men’s Health magazine.
Calling Raleigh the “model for healthy living,” the magazine notes that Raleigh has 100 miles of cycling, walking and running trails with more on the way. The city is also host to the 30,000-square-foot state Farmers Market. And many companies here, including startups, value employee wellness, offering flexible time off, healthy cafés, on-site medical centers, free counseling and fitness facilities. And of course, we have some of the best medical facilities in the nation.
Charlotte ranks No. 8 on the list; Durham is No. 21; Greensboro is No. 39; Winston-Salem is No. 79.
