The Triangle Area is a fantastic place full of things to do for people of all ages and interests.
In Raleigh, there are four museums alone: the Marble Kids Museum, and NC’s Musems of Art, Science, and History.
If nature is a favorite, there are tons of destinations such as Historic Yates Mill Park, William B. Umstead State Park, Lake Crabtree and Bond Park.
Perhaps one of the larger categories of things to do in the Triangle area encompasses Arts & Entertainment. Venues such as the Koka Booth Ampitheater, Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts, PNC Arena, Time Warner Cable Pavilion at Walnut Creek and Bass Lake Concert Series are always putting on events for the area, so there is never a dull moment. If exploring local fare is your forte, consider checking out Lazy Daze, Spring Daze, or the ever-popular NC State Fair.
For the athletes and sports fanatics alike, there is the annual Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic or Carolina Hurricanes hockey games. There is also the Cary Tennis Park, Cary Skate Park, USA Baseball National Training Complex, and Wake Med Soccer Park.
The State Farmers Market is the perfect combination of local, outdoors, and shopping. It is open every day and makes for a fun family outing. The flea market at the NC State Fairgrounds is also fun for family outings, or just relaxing and enjoying the good weather. The flea market runs on weekends.
If you have kids, you will also want to learn about Triangle Area Schools, as well as Kraft Family YMCA and Cary Family YMCA programs.
